When to help and when not to help

Let us remember that the small things to us are oftentimes challenges for the child, BUT after accomplishment an even bigger success for the child.

We can help our child daily by letting it try things on its own, so it can accomplish things, learn to trust itself and consequently become more self-confident.

Even little practices such as taking off or putting on a jacket, changing into house shoes, pouring a glass of water, peeling a tangerine, walking up some stairs independently etc. will make a child feel good about itself, especially once it has mastered this task.

“Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed.”
