Some time to focus
Children love to play with friends and have fun. Yet, they do not always seek the interaction with their peers or teachers. They will focus on something specific, be it some rocks in the sand, a colony of ants, a picture, a work in the classroom or just the clouds drifting by, etc.
The child who is allowed to be on his or her own and drift off into imagination and focused learning will be calm and focused and extremely absorbent.
